The Circle of Peace is an imaginative practice in which you create an internal space of safety, warmth, and connection. You might picture a blazing fire surrounded by loving presences. Or a quiet meadow at sunrise. A glass conservatory filled with light. A porch overlooking the ocean. The setting does not have to be dramatic — it only needs to feel steady and welcoming to you.

When you enter that circle, you bring your questions, your worries, the conversation that keeps replaying. You place them in the center of this space, where they can be seen clearly without overwhelming you. Then you sit. You listen. You observe.

Over time, this place becomes familiar — an internal home base. You are not escaping your life. You are choosing the vantage point from which you engage it.

Meeting Wisdom, angels, and loving presences

Within your Circle of Peace, you may imagine being accompanied by Jesus, God, the Holy Spirit, Lady Wisdom, angels, ancestors, or simply a loving intelligence that feels safe and wise. The atmosphere is calm rather than urgent. There is depth, but there is also lightness.

You do not plead or negotiate from this place. You speak as someone who belongs there. You may ask questions, share concerns, or simply rest in quiet companionship. Sometimes insight comes clearly. Other times what you receive is steadiness rather than instruction.

How protective parts can rest

Many of us carry internal responses that were once necessary for survival — an urgency that rises before the situation warrants it, a bracing against imagined threats, a habit of scanning for danger. These protective parts learned their roles when safety was uncertain.

In this practice, instead of fighting those reactions, you turn toward them. You acknowledge them. You thank them for the work they have done. And then you offer them rest. When protection is honored rather than attacked, it no longer needs to dominate. The urgency loosens. Breathing deepens. The racing thoughts slow.

Protection does not cling when it is honored. It clings when it is attacked.
